Did you know that Kim Go Eun only had 2 special appearances in movies and the rest of her projects were all major roles? She's casted main lead to 10/11 movie projects and all of her three TV series: Cheese In The Trap, Goblin, and The King: Eternal Monarch.

🌻 Her versatility is no joke. She's definitely a shy girl when you see her on interviews. But she can completely transform from an innocent high school student in 𝘼 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙚 into a fierce debt collector turned assassin in 𝘾𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙧! She can be sweet and ordinary as Mi-soo in 𝙏𝙪𝙣𝙚 𝙄𝙣 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 and Hong Seol in 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙥 but she really nailed her role as a girl with mental disability who chased her sister's killer in 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧. Now we are seeing her taking dual roles in her current drama 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙜: 𝙀𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝. I can't wait to finally meet Luna and how different her character is to her Republic of Korea counterpart, Jung Tae Eul.

🌻 She can convey all feels from the heaviest to the most trivial human emotions (like getting embarrassed) to her audience very well. You can watch how heartbreaking her cry was in 𝙂𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙣 (https://tinyurl.com/jieuntakcry) and (SPOILER) how adorably shy she was in Cheese in the Trap when her boyfriend Yoo Jung announced in the whole class that they're dating.
🌻 And she can do all that with only her eyes!! She can let you know how scared, angry, or devastated she is just by looking at her eyes! I'll never ever forget Jung Tae Eul's longing eyes in The King:Eternal Monarch Episode 6.

🌻 Her timing is always on point. Whether it's comedy, romance, thriller ... she always hits it right.
Actually, these are just few. There can be a lot more reasons why, there might even be greater reasons that only the writers, directors, and her co-stars can see.
I can't argue with people who dislike her for not keeping up with her male lead's visuals.. because we all know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I really hope that these people will learn to see beyond "not being pretty enough" to know how much they've been missing.

ReplyDeleteI've never followed a personality, local or foreign, this much.... I fell in love with Gon from the moment I saw her in TKEM and Goblin. To date, it's only A Muse which I have to see. I read articles/write-ups and watched videos of her interviews/media appearances.
ReplyDeleteKim Go Eun is the epitome of natural beauty, inside and out. Such a simple, deep, resilient, passionate and Family-oriented woman. She is a good role model. She empowers women, young and old, to stand up for what is true and right... I wish her happiness and more success. I pray to God that she finds a man who can see her precious worth and love her tirelessly because she is really a beautiful person.
To cut the long story short, I am just like you, Miss Sunshine, a fangirl (and a mother) at heart.
