Shine Goes to Cha Eun Woo's Starry Caravan in Manila

The first time I heard about Starry Caravan, it was an announcement for the Indonesia leg. I thought, there might be an announcement for the Philippines soon. I never thought the announcement would come a day after! When I heard about it, I told myself, I SHOULD GO! No matter what, I SHOULD GO! And I did!!!

It was quite a struggle though... given the short period of time to get enough money for the ticket and the fact that it's hunger games on ticketing day, it was so tough I cried for two days straight just to get a really good ticket. Thank God for the people who really helped me get a good seat, not the most ideal but it's good enough. Nonetheless, Cha Eun Woo gave us such an amazing show, it was another night to remember. And so here I am, writing about one of the greatest nights of my life.

I flew to Manila 2 days before the concert day because I just thought I am definitely needing a buffer day just in case my flight will be delayed. If you're going to a concert from my place, the struggle is always doubled... from getting the ticket to reaching the venue. We had to fly, look for accommodation and all else. But then again, it's all worth it.

Eunwoo started his fan meeting by singing First Love, his solo song from ASTRO's recent album Drive To Starry Road and I cried! It was so overwhelming. I can still remember how he playfully asked the crowd if we miss him and how much we miss him. It was also fun hearing him not holding back in answering a few questions about him, I've known him since 2018 but I've learned a lot about him in the fan meet and that was already quite a worthwhile takeaway. I've also known Cha Eun Woo to be competitive but seeing that live is so entertaining to watch. He was asked to make a self-portrait using clay and was shocked that he chose to follow a complicated photo and he never settled any less in making his clay portrait, he didn't even want to miss the details. He sang most of his solo songs but one of the highlights is when he played the piano like he did in his first fan meeting. He covered Shawn Mendes's When You're Gone and I know he's a good singer but he's just getting better and better and better at hitting his high notes. The best part for me though is getting such a good reaction when I showed him my 차은우 tattoo! One for the books!

Here is my vlog and some of the highlights of the show.

It was another super memorable night with Cha Eun Woo. It was tiring, I forgot to eat the whole day but I'd do it over and over and over again. I wouldn't miss it for the world. Going to JOTM MNL is one of my best plot twists this year. It's so special, it made me so so so happy. So for the people who made this possible, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. YOU ALL KNOW WHO YOU ARE. I'LL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL!

TO CHA EUN WOO, THANK YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN FOR BEING ONE OF MY INSPIRATIONS, MY SOURCE OF HAPPINESS, AND MY BEST THERAPY! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!
