In just three short years after his debut, Win Metawin has garnered an impressive array of titles, earning him recognition as a Thai Superstar, Thai Bombshell, Fashion Darling, Thai Global Superstar, and even Bangkok Prince, and these are just a few!  This rising talent has captivated audiences worldwide and continues to make waves in the entertainment industry. And in case you missed it, he will be coming to Manila for a solo fan meeting on June 11, 2023! This will be his second visit to the Philippines, following his previous fan meeting here last November with F4 Thailand. 

Let me share a personal story about how I learned about Win Metawin, also known as Metawin Opas-Iamkajorn. I first got to know him as Tine in the incredibly popular and phenomenal BL series, 2gether The Series (This series became such a sensation that it even spawned a follow-up series and a movie.), where he starred alongside Bright Vachirawit as Sarawat. Back in October 2020, I finally gave in to my sister's persistent requests to watch the series. It actually premiered on February 21, which also happens to be Win's birthday, although I wasn't aware of that at the time. However, it was in April when they caught my attention as they continuously trended as the number one topic on Twitter. I was so engrossed in another Korean drama at the time, that always came second in trends after them, I felt bitter and initially had no plans to watch it. It wasn't until I saw one of my fangirl friends watching a local BL series that my curiosity was piqued. So, to be fair to my sister who had been urging me to watch 2gether The Series for a long time, I decided to give it a chance. And here I am, nearly three years later, I'm still absolutely crazy about them—Bright and Win. And if you haven't noticed yet, Win is my bias.

Following his breakout role as Tine, Win Metawin quickly skyrocketed to fame alongside Bright within a remarkably short period. His talent and versatility were further showcased when he portrayed Kavin in the Thai adaptation of the beloved Boys Over Flowers franchise, titled F4 Thailand. In this role, he took on the characters of Xi Men from Meteor Garden and Yi Jung from Boys Over Flowers. Win's range as an actor shone through as he delved into different projects, such as portraying Dr. Namcha, a veterinarian in Devil Sister, and taking on the role of Maew in the captivating six-story series Good Old Days. The excitement continues to build as he gears up to play Ar Jin in the upcoming dark and mysterious mini-series called Enigma. However, what I am particularly thrilled about is his portrayal of Guy (Do Kyung Seok) in Beauty Newbie, the Thai adaptation of the renowned Korean series, My ID is Gangnam Beauty. This promising lineup of projects highlights Win's continuous growth as an actor, leaving fans eagerly anticipating his future performances.

Win's talent extended beyond acting; he also made a significant impact in the fashion industry. Initially starting as a presenter for luxury brands such as PRADA, Gucci, Burberry, and Fendi, to name a few. In 2022, he ranked 6th as the Top Influencer of Milan's Fashion Week for Gucci. During the same year, Win received an exclusive invitation from Prada to attend their SS23 show in Milan, solidifying his position as the top voice, post, and influencer. In 2023, Win once again received an invitation to Milan, this time as PRADA's Global Brand Ambassador for their FW23 show. He also appeared in various countries including the recent launch of Tiffany & Co. Landmark in New York as a presenter for Tiffany & Co. In a remarkable achievement, he was featured as one of the cover stars of Perfect Magazine Issue Four, alongside renowned figures like Victoria Beckham, Sam Smith, and Naomi Campbell. Such was the demand for the magazine that it went out of stock not just once or twice, but an astounding five times. The demand was so high that the magazine had to be restocked six times to meet the overwhelming interest. His presence continues to elevate his status in the fashion world, marking him as a force to be reckoned with in both acting and fashion.

Win's achievements go far beyond what I've mentioned so far. He has become a brand ambassador for top names not only in fashion, but also in beauty, and lifestyle, including Shiseido, VIVO, AIS Thailand, Isuzu, and even our own Philippines' Globe Telecom. These outstanding achievements led to his well-deserved recognition as one of Forbes Asia's 30 Under 30 for 2023. As the only Thai to receive this prestigious honor, Win has truly become a source of pride for his home country. 

In addition to his busy schedule as an actor and influencer, Win Metawin has accomplished remarkable feats. He has established himself as one of the youngest CEOs, overseeing his own clothing brand Velence, macaron brand Souri, and gelato brand Velato.  Despite initially doubting his singing abilities, he has proven himself by releasing six solo songs as a recording artist. Furthermore, he successfully completed his studies in 2020, graduating as an economics major.

After three years of being a fan of Win Metawin, I can't help but feel incredibly proud. It feels like just yesterday when he was handing out lollipops to a small group of people during the promotion of his debut series. Now, he's signing autographs overseas for fans who come to see him. Despite his skyrocketing fame, Win has managed to stay humble, grounded, and deeply committed to his family and friends. During his free time, he goes on vacations with his loved ones and always makes a point to celebrate his friends' birthdays. Even when he's busy, he makes sure to send them off at the airport and spends quality time playing with his three dogs: Charlotte, Bentley, and Cartier. He also surprises his fans with free fan meetings by visiting his pop-up stores. Lastly and of course, Win remains thoughtful and supportive of his work partner Bright in all of his endeavors, just as Bright does for him. Their mutual support is truly admirable.

These reasons are not the only ones why I adore him. Win possesses an undeniable charm,  and despite not knowing him personally, I can sense and feel that he is genuinely a wonderful person. It's not just about being extremely attractive; he radiates an incredible personality. His captivating smile and the way his eyes turn into crescent moons are simply irresistible. Falling head over heels for him is as effortless as counting to three. 

As a fan, Win Metawin has not only been my source of inspiration but has also unknowingly rescued me numerous times. Just because I look forward to his smile every day, he gave me more reasons to cherish and embrace life. His unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of success have motivated me to push myself further. Ever since I became a fan, he has brightened my days and filled them with positivity.
